Aware of the privilege to build in an area virtually untouched for centuries, the lodge was built with thoughtful care and respect towards nature, in a striking location on top of a small hill and on the shores and meanders of the mighty Ruaha River, discovered by one of the owners,
following 30 years of a long-standing love and appreciation of Selous, and weeks of searching the bush on foot for the perfect place.
