Maldives Roadshow South Africa March 2011

Maldives Roadshow

Exclusive Serenity Hotels & Resorts Representation organizes the “Maldives Road Show 2011” in South Africa in March 2011 and invites the travel trade to join and learn more about this fascinating destination. The workshops take place nationwide in the cities of Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town from 1-3 March 2011.

“We noticed an increased interest in Maldives and also found that a lot of travel agents expressed a need to learn more about the destination”, explains Melanie Floor, CEO of Exclusive Serenity, the reason for the roadshow.

Teaming up with well-known industry players, the exhibiting companies during the roadshow are Coco Palm Resorts, Constance Hotels, Emirates Holidays, Holiday Tours, Naiade Holidays (Diva Resort) and The Holiday Factory.

“A lot of agents mentioned that although they find Maldives attractive as destination, they find it difficult to get their clients there”, reports Melanie Floor. “50% of our exhibitors are tour operators who will be an important contact for agents to provide information and packages to Maldives”.

Maldives has deep blue seas, turquoise reefs, white sandy beaches and palm trees. It is also a place full of character, where its people have long spent their days languishing in the very essence of idyll living. While it is the perfect place to sit on a beach and watch a sunset with a cocktail balanced on your hand, it is also a geographical marvel, knowing that there are thousands of fish swimming around the vivid corals just a few feet away from where you sit.

Maldives is a dream for those who enjoy watersports, it fascinates with excursions to inhabited islands to experience the lifestyle of the locals. If a honeymoon is meant to be a celebration of love in an intimate, secluded, and most importantly, beautiful setting, then the Maldives is the world’s best backdrop.

And lastly, for those who appreciate spa and wellness will certainly find their relaxation at the spas in the various resorts but also by just lying on a deserted beach of a Maldivian island, taking in nothing but the continuous rhythm of the waves, the sea salt in the air and even feeling the soft white sand on your bare feet is enough to sooth your senses.
